External Job Description:
Deli/Cafe employees provide a high level of customer service and practice safe food handling procedures. These employees prepare food, offer samples, and recommend products to customers. They properly weigh, bag, price and cook deli and cafe merchandise, including specialty coffees for sale to customers. They operate scales, slicers, wrapping and cooking equipment, including specialty coffee machines. Deli employees maintain a clean and sanitized work area including the maintenance of tables, walls, floors, display cases, walk-in coolers/freezers, fryers and other cooking equipment. Deli employees assist with inventories, ordering/transmitting product and/or supply orders.
