While we want you to work hard- we also don’t expect this kind of results either. Insomniac Games is looking for a Production Support Technician, who would test and support multiple aspects of the hardware and software systems used by the Core team and production functions to develop games. This role is responsible for the testing and support specific to our proprietary tools. One would create, modify, and implement assets for gameplay and be responsible for assigning materials to collision, rigging props, and minor scripting. This role is also going to create and modify test plans and documentation for the tools used, and is responsible for handling bug reporting, organization, and tracking for all core related issues. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Identify and articulate problem areas within our proprietary production tools and reports them to the necessary person(s)
• Ensure all aspects of tools are functional
• Solve production issues that occur related to the tools and other areas of production
• Test and ensure tools releases and patches are functional before going out to the rest of the studio
• Create and release tools updates and patches to the studio
• Create and maintain test plans for testing all aspects of the tools
• Create and maintain “How To” documentation for reference for the studio
• Other duties may apply

Education and/or Experience:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic understanding and knowledge of Perforce and Visual Studio.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and a basic understanding of production related programs such as Maya and a willingness to learn and use proprietary tools and procedures.
• Ability to create and maintain shared documents regarding task procedure.

Other Skills: Must possess a clear understanding of and knowledge of the development cycle; understanding bug priorities, ability to detect problem areas, possess a strong attention to detail, Must have the ability to build and maintain close rapport with other departments and remain flexible and ready to change priorities in an instant. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to correctly create and prioritize tasks.
